Delete your KES account
This page explains how to delete your KES app account, what is deleted, and what the Kurdistan Engineering Syndicate must keep.
Delete it in the app
- Open KES and sign in.
- Go to Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted and confirm twice. The deletion happens immediately.
Or ask us by email
If you can no longer sign in, email info@gigant.tech with the subject “KES account deletion”, your full name, and the mobile number or membership number your account uses. We will confirm the request came from you — usually by sending a code to the mobile number on your record — and delete your account within 30 days. You can also ask us, the same way, to remove applications that were not approved and the documents you uploaded with them.
What is deleted
- Your app sign-in on every device: all sessions are removed and every device is signed out.
- Device information and push-notification tokens.
- Your notifications and notification settings.
- Your profile photo.
What is kept, and for how long
Deleting your app account does not end your membership of the Syndicate. Because the Syndicate keeps an official register of engineers, some records must be kept:
- Your membership record (name, membership number, rank, branch, qualifications) — kept for as long as the Syndicate's rules and the law require the professional register to be kept.
- Payment and dues records — kept for the period accounting law requires.
- Decisions on approved applications and their supporting documents — kept with your membership record.
- Security logs (for example staff access to documents, and a note that you deleted your account) — kept for up to 12 months.
To leave the Syndicate itself, contact your branch.
